About us

Welcome to Perkūnija. The two of us, Robertas and Audra, created this space for those who wish to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, and to properly relax. We have taken an interest in the sauna experience for many years, so we wanted to create a place which would be comfortable for our guests as well as convenient for sauna masters. Our first sauna was the “white” sauna, with a periodically-fired stove made by Robert himself, wooden platforms specifically designed for the sauna ritual, a comfortable anteroom for drinking tea, and a relaxation space. Recently, Robert built a second sauna: a “black” smoke sauna, with an entirely different character. It is steeped in simplicity and peace, and carries us back into the most ancient of times.
In our saunas, professional sauna masters lead various sauna programmes, ranging from a fun sauna ritual for a group to a quiet royal sauna for two. There are various thematic saunas for mixed groups as well as for women only or for men only. When you try out the sauna with a professional sauna master, you understand just how many wonderful sensations a sauna can give you. We propagate the use of a sauna to strengthen one’s health, so this is no place for alcohol. There is, however, peace and the all-pervading sensation of pleasure and relaxation.
Perkūnija is constantly growing. There is the Perkūnija sauna school, where sauna masters share what they have learned during long years of experience. Attendees learn the art of the sauna, meet like-minded people, discover a new hobby, or even change their career and the fascinating journey of the sauna begins. Audra, the head of the school, herself discovered singing thanks to the sauna, so guests in the sauna can listen to the songs and meditations she has created.
Perkūnija’s host, Robertas, has experience making sauna stoves and has built saunas of various types over the years, applying his knowledge of the sauna, simply essential to avoid making mistakes.
